Farewell

Today was my mission farewell in the Sequim Bay Ward! I got to have my farewell at the same time as Mom and Dad, so it was a pretty special day.

We each gave our talks, then sang Called to Serve for the closing prayer as I held my mission plaque in my hands for the very first time. That was a feeling I'll never forget. I wish I got a better picture of my plaque, but I'll post what I've got.

Right next to Mom and Dad!

How cool is that?!

I went inside today...

I love to see the temple. I went inside today. And it was more amazing than I ever could have imagined. (:

So so blessed to be a part of this amazing family, and this glorious gospel.

How incredible it was to be able to go through with my wonderful parents, and with most of my siblings. Mom was my escort, of course, and Tom and Shar were the couple. I can't tell you how happy it was to be there with them all.

I can honestly say I've never been happier in my entire life. I know I'm supposed to go on a mission, and I know I'm doing the right thing with my life now. What a relief it is to feel that reassurance! The Lord sure has a plan for my life, and I can't wait to find out more of what that plan is. I'm so incredibly grateful that plan includes a mission. Especially a mission to Brazil! I'm so grateful for the temple and for the blessings which are given therein. Everyone told me the temple would be overwhelming and maybe a little strange my first time through. But... I didn't feel any of that overwhelming, or strange-ness. All I felt was joy, and peace, and gratitude. If I could describe it in one word, I would say it was all so familiar. I'm so grateful I got to go through with my family, and I eagerly await the day I get to go through with everyone - all of us together in the House of the Lord.

After a day in the temple, all I can think about is - When can I go back? I can't wait to go back.
